When Life Leads to Dead-End Roads

IMG_4122.jpg

Do you ever feel like life is just a series of dead-end roads? You keep taking different turns only to run into another sign that says, "Dead End" or "No Outlet," right? It starts to feel like every new opportunity is just a trick and each new road will only lead to nowhere. So how do you keep going when you're unsure of your next destination? And how do you navigate winding roads?

... in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:6 (NIV)

When we submit to God, our winding roads are made straight and the dead ends are no more. Because when we see an earthly dead end, it's God's provision in the heavenlies protecting or preparing us for something we cannot see.For every turn we can't see past, God has already mapped out the entire journey from a bird's eye view. And He has given us a tool to light up the way so we can better see where we're going.

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105 (NIV)
We have to trust that God is leading us exactly where we are supposed to be. There are no dead ends in His Kingdom -- only detours. And detours gives us the chance to see new sights, learn more about ourselves, and listen closer to our guide.
To become more familiar with our Father's voice, we have to listen to Him more frequently and focus on His voice above all the other noise vying for our attention.
The dead ends will no longer destroy us when we are confident in the voice that is greater than Siri... even the British accent Siri.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, 'This is the way; walk in it.' Isaiah 30:21 (NIV)
He will never lead us astray. He has our best interest in mind and adventure waiting. All we have to do is say, "Yes" and keep saying yes until we reach our final destination where the roses never fade and the roads never dead end.
